Air and Space Museum: Part II

Micah shared some of his favorite things from the museum, so I thought I would share some of mine too! Here we go.

I got to fly a plane!! Just kidding. But I did get to sit in the pilot's seat.

There were SO MANY controls.  I don't understand how anybody could possible know what each of them is for.

I loved these funny little planes.  The one on the left is the Bumblebee.  It's hard to believe these guys actually fly.

Flight Surgeon wings! Micah would love to get these someday.

There were so many possible wings that people receive. The majority of these were only used in the past.  They have more updated ones they use nowadays.

Nuclear bombs!  It was weird standing next to the bombs because my mind kept telling me that they could go off any second.  On the up side, I got to meet those two awesome mannequins in the background. 

AEROGEL! This stuff was so cool.  It doesn't really look like it's there, but it is!  It looks like a hologram from Star Trek or something.  I wanted to touch it so bad just to see if it was really there. 

There was also a tour bus you could take to a base somewhere, but it cost extra so we didn't go.  Maybe when Adam comes down we can take him on it... Unless we're too busy in Mexico :)
